Our clinic is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of the Market Pavilion building in the Marketplace neighbourhood of Whistler Village at 4368 Main Street unit 209, which is less than a minute off the Sea to Sky Highway (99) via either Vilage Gate Boulevard or Lorimer Road.  Our building has elevator access which can be accessed between Quantum Health and Back In Action Physiotherapy.  Once on the 2nd floor you can enter the building through either external door and the Whistler Wellness entrance is located between FYIDoctors Optometry and Mountain Skills Academy.  Our clinic has its own washroom.

Parking is available either on Main Street or in the large Marketplace parking lot in front of Fresh Street Market.  Both options are pay parking and can be paid for (and extended) with the PayByPhone app with location number 4180 for Main Street and 44020 for the Marketplace lot.

Yes Whistler Wellness accepts and direct bills all extended health providers that allow for it.  The insurers we provide this for are SunLife, Manulife, Chamber of Commerce, Canada Life, Pacific Blue Cross, Greenshield, Medavie Blue Cross, Desjardins and Equitable Life...in addition to all other insurers covered by the Telus eClaims.  New patients can enter their insurance information (insurer, group/plan # and policy/ID #) online when creating their profile in the Whistler Wellness Jane app.  With direct insurance billing we typically receive an immediate answer for amount covered and patients only have to pay any remaining balance for their appointment.

Coverage depends on your individual insurer and policy. We encourage you to confirm details such as annual maximums, referral requirements and visit limits with your insurance provider.  Any portion not covered by your insurer remains the patient's / client's responsibility.  If a claim is declined for any reason Whistler Wellness will provide a detailed receipt from your appointment for manual insurance claim submission.

Acupuncture, Registered Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, Naturopathic Medicine and Counselling are our services that are typically covered by extended health insurance plans.

No referral is required to book Chiropractic, RMT Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Naturopathic Medicine or Counselling services at Whistler Wellness.  However, some extended health plans may occasionally require a physician referral for reimbursement. We recommend confirming your specific coverage with your insurer in advance.

Yes we encourage this!  Our clinic has several types of practitioners who work collaboratively.  Often patients have health concerns that require care from more than 1 of the healthcare services Whistler Wellness offers, which can be scheduled back to back when available.

Whislter Wellness requires 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. This policy allows us to offer appointment times to other patients in need of care.

Yes.  If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. We do have elevator access to our second floor, just to the left of Quantum Health on Main Street.
At this time, Whistler Wellness does not directly bill ICBC or WorkSafeBC.
However, we are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (emailed or printed) following your appointment so you can submit your claim manually to ICBC or WorkSafeBC for reimbursement.

Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) have been licensed physicians in British Columbia since 1937.  They can be viewed as GP's or primary care doctors of natural medicine.  Naturopathic medicine aims to address the underlying or root cause of any disease, illness or symptoms and to do so NDs utilize botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, nutritional supplements, lifestyle counselling, therapeutic exercise and stress management techniques.  NDs also may perform physical exams as well as order and review lab test results.  Consultations with a naturopathic doctor at Whistler Wellness are covered by most Canadian extended health insurance plans.  Our clinic also has a natural pharmacy that our naturopathic doctor may recommend supplements and remedies from.

In British Columbia naturopathic doctors can also prescribe most pharmaceutical medications and order lab tests privately, which can be a convenient option for out of country visitors to Whistler who may not be able to see a local medical doctor for an acute condition or situation and would prefer not to go to the Whistler ER.

Our naturopathic physician Dr. Arjuna Veeravagu offers 30 minute initial consultations for basic/acute conditions and 60 minute initial consultations for complex/chronic conditions.  Appointments with him may be in-person, by video telehealth or by phone.
