Meet Anita D’Onghia, RMT
Anita D’Onghia has been practising as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2019, bringing a thoughtful, individualized approach to care and a longstanding curiosity about the human body and its interconnected systems.
Her interest in health and wellness spans over 20 years and has taken her through a variety of areas of study, beginning with Reiki in 2004. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. These diverse experiences have shaped her appreciation for the many perspectives through which we can understand the body and overall well-being.
Anita began incorporating CranioSacral Therapy into her practice in 2020 and received her certification through the Upledger Institute in 2024. She continues to pursue further coursework through the Institute, deepening her knowledge and developing her approach. CranioSacral Therapy now represents approximately half of her practice, and she hopes to continue growing this area of her work within her role as an RMT.
Her areas of interest include headaches and migraines, neck and back discomfort, jaw and TMJ-related tension, concussion-related concerns, sleep disturbances, fibromyalgia and persistent pain, stress, anxiety, burnout, and trauma-related concerns.
Anita values getting to know each client as an individual, taking their history, comfort, and treatment goals into consideration when planning each session. Her intention is to provide a welcoming, attentive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable.
Guided by compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to lifelong learning, Anita strives to provide thoughtful, individualized care that reflects each client’s needs.
