Dr. Arjuna Veeravagu is a naturopathic physician and registered acupuncturist who is in his 24th year of clinical practice. Originally from New York he studied genetics and pre-med at Tufts University in Boston before becoming a nutritional genetics researcher at the University of California at Berkeley.
While at Berkeley Dr. Arjuna experienced a serious illness that sparked his interest in natural medicine, which he had turned to for successful treatment and healing. He went on to study Naturopathic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland. He practiced in Vancouver for twenty years before starting full-time Whistler living and working in 2021.
Dr. Veeravagu’s practice combines botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, nutrigenomics, acupuncture, lab testing, prescription medications, fitness consulting and lifestyle counselling to address the root causes of illness and disease. He has a general naturopathic practice with a focus on complex internal medicine cases. Some of the more common underlying causes he has researched extensively and treats often are:

He has lectured on many natural health topics for Vail Resorts, Whistler Public Library, Choices Markets, UBC, The Wellness Show, Inspire Health, LifeSpeak and several other organizations. He enjoys public speaking on current health topics and is available for speaking engagements.
Dr. Veeravagu has lived in Whistler full-time since 2018 along with his wife local dental hygienist Diane Mitchell. Their two daughters Uma and Layla both attend the University of Victoria. Away from the clinic his personal interests include tennis, snowboarding, DJing, strength training, meditation and Jungian psychology. His shifts at Whistler Wellness are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and he is currently accepting new patients.
