I graduated my degree in Australia in early 2022 and began working at Integrated Sports and Spinal Clinic. I have been incredibly lucky to work alongside amazing osteopaths with years of experience, participating in fortnightly mentoring sessions since I started. I have been treating patients of all ages, from infants to elderly with a vast array of musculoskeletal complaints. I treat using both structural and craniosacral therapy techniques, depending on the patient I am treating and their presenting complaint.
My passion for Osteopathy began as a teenager when a back injury impacted my ability to continue my hobbies of aerial and dance. Osteopathic treatment helped me to return to my passion, and I decided then that this was the career I wanted for myself as I wished to help others return to the work, hobbies and activities they love. I also had the amazing opportunity last year to spend a ski season working in Japan with the guest services team at Rusutsu International Ski School. During this time I worked alongside many ski and snowboard instructors and regularly assessed and treated various conditions related to these snow sports. I developed a love for skiing and I am excited to continue this here in Canada.
I am passionate about osteopathic treatment as I strongly believe that the body is its own self healing, self regulating mechanism and that every system of the body is closely integrated in both structure and function. As an osteopathic manual therapist, it is our job to promote optimal function of the body to give it the best possible chance of healing. Each and every one of my treatments is tailored to the individual and what they are currently presenting with. Helping my patients to achieve their health goals is always my number one focus, whether this be returning to an elite sport or being able to comfortably pick up their grandchildren.
I believe that healthy living and happiness absolutely go hand in hand and I strive to make a positive impact on my patients lives.
