As a clinical counsellor, my practice is grounded in a person-centred approach that honours each client’s inherent capacity for growth, resilience, and self-determination. I integrate a holistic wellness framework that recognizes the interconnected nature of emotional, psychological, physical, relational, and spiritual well-being. My clientele primarily consists of women navigating the complexities of midlife, including perimenopause and menopause, hormonal transitions, identity shifts, changing family roles, career transitions, grief and loss, and the evolving nature of intimate relationships and sexuality. Many clients present with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, chronic stress, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of hormonal changes on mental health and overall quality of life. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, collaborative, and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs and goals. Counselling services are offered through individual therapy, couples counselling, and family therapy when relational dynamics contribute to or support the healing process. In addition, I facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups that foster connection, shared learning, and mutual support, as well as specialized wellness retreats that integrate clinical education, experiential learning, reflective practice, and holistic wellness interventions. Across all service modalities, the therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation for creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment where clients can develop insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional and relational health, process trauma, and cultivate meaningful, sustainable change.
