Let me tell you a bit about myself. Professionally I am a Registered Practical Nurse and a Registered Massage Therapist. Personally, I am a people person, fitness enthusiast, and a bit of a chocoholic.
I’ve been an athlete since the first time I stepped onto the soccer field when I was 4 years old and have always had an interest in health and wellness. Nearing the end of high school, I became interested in a massage therapy program. Then my world was turned upside down when my dad suddenly passed away. I wasn’t ready to pursue post-secondary education, so I stayed a fifth year in high school and played basketball. I was so interested in sports that I registered for a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College.
At Sheridan I played varsity basketball almost daily while every other moment was spent studying anatomy and physiology. Two years into the rigorous four-year program, I realized the AT life wasn’t for me. I thought long and hard about what made me feel truly happy. I wanted to be needed, I wanted to help people. So I took my anatomy and physiology background and applied it to practical nursing.
I’ve been an RPN since 2015. I’ve worked in long-term care, retirement, hospital (mainly in ER), and currently in the community. I absolutely love being a nurse. I believe it's my calling to care for people.
In 2018, while still nursing full time, I returned to school to begin, again, my journey toward becoming an RMT. Due to COVID-19, my clinical hours, graduation and my registration process were delayed. But finally, here I am.
I am very excited to incorporate all my studies and my passion for health into one fabulous job (alongside my nursing) where I can care, advocate and treat those in my community who care about their health.
